Scenario Copy in the Cloud
Scenarios can now be copied in the cloud, which means users can continue working while the processing takes place. Once complete, a notification appears and an email is sent.
Google Chrome Support for HR Budgeting
All Detailed HR application pages are now supported on Google Chrome. There is one exception. On the Compensation Items application page (accessed by clicking the Compensation Items tab), the functionality to add new compensation items is not available at this time. Use Internet Explorer to add compensation items.
The user-interface for all Google Chrome Detailed HR application pages has been enhanced for an improved user experience.
Detailed HR Copy Forward Functionality
This functionality copies a pay setup cell value for one month to all proceeding months. It is available in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer on the Pays Setup application page.
Google Chrome Support for Scenario Processing
Quick processing of Financial scenarios is now supported for Google Chrome.
Report Collection Updates
When users run a Report Collection, status information is automatically posted in Job Manager. With this release, Host is providing more details around specific input cases as well as in-application messaging. The table below provides information on results based on Report Collection input.
|Input||Output (Excel or PDF) Status||Job Manager Status|
|Dynamic Report||Report Collection|
|1. One or more Dynamic Reports added to the Report Collection have no data.||Output file(s) is generated. In Excel tab/PDF output a message is displayed for reports that contain no data. “The result set doesn’t contain any Rows and Columns”||Success||Success|
|2. The Report Collection contains no reports.||User gets an alert when they try to process Report Collection. Report Collection job is not created in Job Manager. Output file(s) is not generated. “Unable to generate the Report Collection as reports are not mapped”||N/A||N/A|
|3. Dynamic Reports added to the Report Collection do not have any member selections for page dimension(s).||Reports are run for default member(s) and output file(s) is generated.||Success||Success|
|4. No member selections for the row/column axis dimensions in the Dynamic Reports that are added to the Report Collection.||Output file(s) is generated and within the Excel tab/PDF output the text “Please select at least one member on Account dimension.” is shown for the respective reports.||Success||Success|
Simulation Engine Persistent Processing
With this feature a system administrator can elect to have the Simulation Engine process to completion when a failure is encountered for a particular template, scenario and entity combination. When navigating to Job Manager (Maintenance, Cloud Scheduler, Job Manager) to view process details, the process status will be Success even when a failure is encountered. However, the notification email will include details on the combination that failed to process. Users can also select the process in Job Manager and click the Detail Log button to view information on failures.
Google Chrome Support for Budget Templates
Global Template Single Copy, Allocation, and Line Item templates are now supported for budgeting through the Budget Control Panel using Google Chrome. In Google Chrome, navigate to Budget, Operating Budget. Select a scenario and budget entity. The templates displayed for the selected budget entity are those supported on Google Chrome only. For example, users might have a budget entity with a Global Template Entity Copy template but that template will not be displayed in the Template pane of the Budget Control Panel because Host Analytics does not currently support that template type in Google Chrome. This applies to the Select Template functionality within the Template Input interface as well. Only supported template types are displayed and available for selection.
Note. Templates are set up under Maintenance, however, Template Setup is not available in Google Chrome at this time.
All template input functionality is available using Google Chrome with the exception of Snapshot and Send Email. Snapshot and Send Email options are available using an Internet Explorer browser under the More list-box. While the functionality remains the same (with the exception of Snapshot and Send E-mail) in Google Chrome, there are two changes to the interface. Instead of an N indicating there is a note associated with a budget template line item, there is a note icon in Google Chrome. When a line item does not have a note and users are using Google Chrome, the note icon is blank. When a note exists, the note icon changes as shown below.
The second change is associated with selected spreadsheet cells. When using Internet Explorer, there is an option to select to average, sum, count, or display the minimum or maximum values for the selected cells in the template spreadsheet. When using Google Chrome, this option does not exist. Instead, the sum, average count, max and min information is displayed at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
Google Chrome Support for Consolidation
The entire Consolidation module is now supported on Google Chrome.
Consolidation Journal Copy and Paste Feature
With this feature, users can copy and paste Standard journal data, Recurring journal data, Dynamic journal data, and Partial Ownership Rule Investment data directly into Host Analytics from Microsoft Excel. When users copy and paste values, they appear at the end of existing line items. For example, if there are 10 existing lines in a journal and users paste another 20 lines, the new lines are pasted after the 10 existing lines.
Pasting functionality does not overwrite existing content. Content can be copied from Microsoft Excel only.
New Print and Export Functionality
New Print and Export functionality is available throughout Host Analytics. For example, for Standard Journals click the Output list-box for available print and export functionality. In some cases, users can save to Microsoft Excel. When doing so, use Print Page Setup options to print, or print using default settings.
Updated Consolidation User Interface
The Consolidation user interface has been enhanced. The functionality remains the same. We hope these enhancements provide an improved user experience.
Template Delete Enhancement
When deleting templates from the Template List page, new functionality automatically checks to see which template-entity combinations contain data.
