Dell Boomi has added the following improvements to the May 2016 release of Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
Java 6 is no longer supported
Support for Java 6 ended May 4, 2016. Atoms, Molecules, and Atom Clouds that ran on Java 6 no longer function. You should upgrade your Atoms, Molecules, and Atom Clouds to Java 8.
Java 8 support
A newer version of Java — Java 8 update 66 — is bundled with Atom, Molecule, and Atom Cloud upgraders and installers. The Dell Boomi Atom Clouds are upgraded to Java 8u66.
Dynamic process routing
Dynamic process routing enables you to conditionally execute another process from within a process based on a reference that is set at run time instead of build time. The reference can be resolved based on some value, such as a document property, profile data, or extension value. You can define multiple conditions and values allowing for many different execution paths. This new feature can simplify process design and provide a single point for managing multiple subprocesses.
NOTE: Dynamic process routing is a Tech Preview not intended for production use. Dynamic process routing is an optional account feature. If you would like to have this feature enabled in your account, contact your Dell Boomi representative.
Cross reference tables in integration pack processes
Cross reference table lookup functions can now be used in data map extensions for processes that were installed from integration packs. This enhancement enables parent accounts to makecross reference tables available to their sub-accounts.
Flat file profile enhancements
Flat file profiles are enhanced to support double-double quotes and line breaks in text-qualified fields. This support includes the addition of a new Text Qualifier Escape field and new parsing rules for delimited flat file data.
This enhancement updates the flat file profile format. When you open an existing profile, you are given the option to update it to the new format.
Unattended and Docker installation options
The unattended (or silent) installation process and the Docker installation process are updated to support additional options, such as proxy settings.
Build page usability improvements
Component and process headers are redesigned for better usability and to provide more screen space for the canvas. Additionally, the canvas has a new grid background to help with alignment.
The Map component has several usability improvements, including support for expanding all of a profile’s nodes and embedded help. Also, the Boomi Suggest dialog is widened to better allow for long labels.
The Shared Web Server Settings dialog is redesigned as a panel within Atom Management to improve usability and to provide more in-application help. Additionally, Legacy Atom Management is removed.
Field validation in MQTT connection and operation dialogs ensures that correct values are passed to required fields and provides alerts when required fields are empty.
The MQTT connection dialog now checks that, when Clean Session is turned on, the client needing the clean start is properly identified.
While no changes were needed in the QuickBooks connector to support the 2016 version, UI labels are updated for the U.S., Canada, and U.K. versions to clearly denote support.
