Dell Boomi has added the following improvements to the June 2016 release of Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
AtomSphere API enhancements
The AtomSphere API and AtomSphere Partner API are enhanced as follows:
- The Role object is updated with new operations and QUERY filters. You can programmatically GET, CREATE, UPDATE, and DELETE roles, as well as QUERY roles by name or parent ID.
- A new Environment Role object is added to represent the linkage between a Dell Boomi environment, the account where the environment is defined, and a role defined for that environment. You can programmatically GET, QUERY, CREATE, and DELETE environment roles.
The AtomSphere API and AtomSphere Partner API connectors are also updated to support the enhanced Role object and the new Environment Role object.
This release sets the stage for additional rolling restart support. In a rolling restart, Molecules and Atom Clouds are restarted on a rolling basis, one node at a time across all nodes.
Starting with the next release, rolling restarts will be supported in the following situations:
- During AtomSphere release updates, including Release Control
- When release updates to certain connectors force an Atom restart
Flat file profile enhancements
New parsing rules for delimited flat file data were introduced in May 2016. The AtomSphere platform and the Import Wizard support both the new profile format and the legacy format.
Document Viewer dialog
When the Document Viewer renders a JSON document, the Formatted Document tab indents child fields to make the document easier to read. This has long been the case for XML documents.
Dynamic process routingTest mode now supports processes that include Process Route components. Processes that use a process route (or those containing a sub-process that uses a process route) execute in test mode without explicitly deploying the process route or any of its referenced processes.
NOTE: Dynamic process routing is a Tech Preview not intended for production use. Dynamic process routing is an optional account feature. If you would like to have this feature enabled in your account, contact your Dell Boomi representative.
Cross reference table enhancements
The number of columns in a cross reference table is increased from six to 20. This enhancement supports more complex lookup operations. You can define from two to 20 columns manually or import the columns you need from a CSV file.
The shapes palette is redesigned and moved to the right side of the canvas. To allow more canvas space, the palette can be collapsed.
A new Connectors grouping is added to the palette in addition to the previous Execution and Logic groupings. Within that grouping, all connector types are available to drop onto the canvas with the appropriate values set for that connector type.
To find shapes quickly, you can now search the palette with results returned from all three shape groupings.
Map component search and filter
Within map components, you can search on the source and destination panels. Also, you can now filter the map to show mapped fields only.
Trading partner support for EDIFACT
New and enhanced features for the EDIFACT standard include:
- Support for versions D10A – D15B
- Support for UNG and UNE segments
- Improved element naming
- New configurable elements (Sender Id, Sender Sub-Id, Receiver Id, and Receiver Sub-Id) in the UNB segment
- New UNB02.3 and UNB02.4 composite elements
