Substitution Variables in Report Collections
Currently, substitution variables can be selected as members on the bursting methods tabs for Report Collections. However, with the legacy functionality, when the Run button is clicked to run the Report Collection, all substitution variable names and values related to the reports in the Report Collection were not displayed in the output. Now, Host Analytics automatically recognizes reports that contain substitution variables that are added to a Report Collection and provides output with substitution variable names and values. This includes both standard and dynamic substitution variables used in report headers and footers, report member selections, substitution variables used in Report Sets, and line headers used in a report.

Report Collection Bursting Enhancement
This enhancement provides functionality to generate a single output file (Excel or PDF) for all members in the Bursting tab when Single Dimension, Multiple Members is selected as the Bursting Criteria Method.
Reports and Scorecard Enhancement for Notes and Attachments
We’ve replaced the Notes rich text editor associated for all applicable reports (with the exception of Financial Package Publisher) and Scorecard functionality with a text box editor and functionality to add attachments. Note. To apply specific formatting to notes, edit the note in a Microsoft Word document and attach the document.
IP Address Restriction for Host Analytics Application Login
Host Analytics allows a user ID to be logged in from multiple locations and multiple devices. With this feature, Administrators have the option to restrict the number of parallel sessions that a user is allowed to be logged into to comply with security policies.
User Interface Enhancements
Host has made several enhancements to the Host Analytics interface. Most notably, increased font size for enhanced viewing and pagination modifications.
Report Collection – General Availability
Report Collection is now available. There is no longer a need to contact Support to enable this feature.
Report Collection provides Report Bursting and distribution capabilities for a collection of Dynamic Reports. You can generate and distribute a Report Collection in Excel and/or PDF format. Generation and distribution takes place in the cloud. Attach generated reports to e-mail or access them in the File Cabinet.
Reporting Currency Enhancement
In the past, it was required to write a formula so that opening balances would not be calculated for Cash Flow reports with year-to-date information based on Balance Sheet accounts. Now, we’ve added a checkbox to enable Host Analytics to perform that calculation automatically.
Conversion of Copy-Paste Data Load Rules to File type Data Load Rules
The functionality to create a Data Load Rule using the Copy – Paste type will be removed from the Host Analytics application as of the Winter ’16 release in February. With this release we are providing functionality to optionally convert Copy-Paste type data load rules to File Load type data load rules for improved performance purposes. Data will not be impacted. Only the method in which the data is loaded to Host Analytics will change. Note. Conversion is optional for the Fall ’15 release. Support for Copy-Paste type data load rules is planned to be discontinued with the Winter ’16 release. You must convert existing Copy-Paste load type data load rules to File Load type data load rules by the Winter ’16 release.
Workforce Planning Read Only Attributes And Default Values
Read Only Attributes
Administrators can now make HR reporting attributes read-only to prevent budget user modification.
For Value Set attribute types, you can now add a Default Value. Default values for value set attributes should be within the attribute value list. Default values can be edited from the Default scenario Add/Edit page.
Redesigned Budget Template Add and Edit Interface
Host has redesigned the Budget Planning Template Add and Edit pages for an improved user experience.
Functionality to Add Notes and Attachments to Employee Positions
Budget users can add notes and attachments to employee positions for reference purposes.
Flexible Employee Position Setup
This feature provides functionality so that employee positions outside of the current budget cycle can be set up by allowing flexible position start and ends dates. For example, an employee termination can be set up while the budget plan is in development but before the planning scenario start date. Or, hire an employee with a state date after the planning scenario start date.
Employee Save Changes in Workforce Planning
The employee save process has been optimized for improved performance and a better user experience. Now, when you click Save from the Employee Add and Edit pages, employee information is saved to the database immediately.
Application Wide Download Expiration
Host Analytics is enforcing a time limit to access downloadable files available from notification links. After a request is submitted, the resulting file must be downloaded within 48 hours. After 48 hours, resubmit the process to download the file.
Audit Log Enhancement
The option to delete audit logs has been removed from Host Analytics so that all user actions will be preserved. This page will be updated in the near future so that you can archive audit log information.
